The inmates are now running the asylum.

The Drumpfmentum (or perhaps we ought to call it Hurricane Donald, as he's about as welcome as one) has smashed through another dreary day of primaries - the Donald has taken Florida, Illinois and North Carolina, and is neck-and-neck with Ted 'Is This Really The Best Opposition The GOP Have' Cruz in Missouri. Kasich won Ohio, which means he's finally sort of relevant to the campaign, while Marco Rubio has finally run aground, failing to pick up more than a paltry five delegates. He's suspended his campaign, and I think the last lingering hope for sanity within the GOP has died with him.

On the Democratic front, Hillary is the clear winner, but the Bern has made a strong showing despite this. They're neck and neck in Missouri at the moment (what is with you guys, Missouri? Why are you so indecisive today? Did you most famous resident not once declare that 'the buck stops here?' BE DECISIVE) and Bernie has done quite well in Illinois (I'd bet money Chicago is probably the reason for that) and Ohio. As for NC and Florida, well, they're Southern states, and Southern Dems are solidly Clinton, so no surprises there. So I reckon Sanders is going to hang on into April, at least until primaries are conducted in more liberal areas like Washington and New York.

This election has seen a lot of very hawkish rhetoric - be it about wars, bombs or still being bummed about Obamacare - so I'd like to make today's speech one about the opposite - willingness to work together, to co-exist peacefully. So I'll just hand over to a gentleman with infinitely more integrity than either Trump or Cruz. What's that ancient Vulcan proverb again?

Wow, this election year is crazy, but I dunno if it's enough to completely dissolve the Republican party. It DEFINITELY needs a major reorganization. I hope this will kick the higher-ups into shape. Or even better, get some new higher-ups.
